Field Guide to the Loner
recently came across this article: Field Guide to the Loner: The Real Insiders, and it made me think even more than usual about the socializing aspects to campaigning. Obviously good social skills are essential for anyone who intends to represent people, but I do wonder if the way current campaigning techniques focus so intently on the most shallow personal and social interactions of a candidate reflects a greater insensitivity to our own interior needs. Sure, the personality of a game show host makes for an enjoyable presence, but is it really an essential quality of a decision maker?
If nothing else, this might go some to explaining the infrequency of my posts so far…
