N.A.R.F.E. Chapter 1002

I want to thank Chapter 1002 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employee Association (N.A.R.F.E) in Cape Coral for inviting me to speak last night. I really enjoyed speaking with them, and I share their concern over the issues of inadequate retirement pay that so many retired federal workers are now facing. It’s important that we honor the retirement plan commitments made not only to government  workers, but also in the private sector as well. The penny-pinching and neglect that we seem to be seeing more and more of in this area lately needs to brought to light, and more importantly we need to do something about it.

During this meeting, we did manage to get some live video out on justin.tv yesterday during the presentation, and  later we also rebroadcasted the footage from the main video camera. (which be retrieved from the archive for January 10, 2007 starting around 7:40PM.)

This entire weekend for me will be dedicated to editing. In addition to the N.A.R.F.E. footage, I still haven’t done a highlight video for the Veterans Support meeting from the Dec 30th, and I also have another short video to post as well, so look for some new stuff on YouTube this weekend.

I haven’t posted much here this month, because I’ve been biting my tongue to keep from commenting on the presidential primaries. As an independent candidate, it’s really not my place to try to dictate how Republicans and Democrats should vote in their own primaries. I’d also like to avoid looking as foolish as the mainstream media pundits did with their botched projections in New Hampshire!

Of Course, I made some predictions myself back on Oct. 29th, and I still stand by what I said. However, I  am still holding onto the hope that I’m wrong…
